Our Trip to Seattle
Finally, I got these published on my blog. We went to Seattle to visit Kevin, Tanya, Jordan, Erin and Nathan the first week in October. We had so much fun with the little kids. We even helped Erin celebrate her birthday. Now with Kevin getting a job in Arizona and them moving down here in two weeks, we will get to help celebrate more birthdays.
While we were in Seattle we watched soccor games, went to the pumpkin patch, went to the fish hatchery and saw the spawning Salmon, ate Krispy Cream Donuts and just had a wonderful time.

Our Vacation
spending the weekend with Mike and Joyce in Chino Valley. We visited, we went garage saling and attended church. Monday we headed out to Kanab. Tuesday we went to St. George to see Judy and DeLynn Edstrom who are serving a mission at the church history sites in St. George area. While we were there we also saw my Aunt and Uncle Connie and Jon Braisted.(My mom's youngest sister). I haven't seen her in over twenty years. Wednesday we visited the Pipe Spring National Monument --it was settled by the Mormons and it was a tithing farm in the early years of the church. We also checked out a couple of places for a reunion in 2010.
Thursday we visited the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and ran into my Aunt and Uncle. Friday we started for home and visited Lee's ferry on the way. It was blowing so hard that it was just like a ground blizzard in Idaho only not so cold. (but it was cool). Saturday we had a real treat. We got to see Chistopher. He was in Prescott to visit the family.

Route 66 Fun Run
On Friday May 1st Grandpa and I went up to Chino Valley and spent the night at Uncle Mikes and Aunt Joyce's. We attended their ballroom dance class with them, but with my bad legs and Dad's bad knee all we did was watch.
Next morning (Saturday) we were up and left for Seligman, Arizona by seven a.m.. We spent a couple of hours walking around looking at old cars. Grandpa was in seventh heaven. He loves old cars. At ten they started the procession of cars on the fun run. We watched cars go by for a solid 45 minutes and then they stragfgled by for another 15. Uncle Art and Strad drove Uncle Art's 1965 or 66 Dodge and went on the run to Kingman. Uncle Mike, Aunt Joyce and Paige drove up In Uncle Mike's 1967 Ford F100 Ranger Pickup, but didn't go on the run.
We went back to Uncle Mike's and Aunt Joyce's and had a wonderful lunch, and then we made the long trip down the hill.

Washington Calhoun's come to visit
Kevin, Tanya, Jordan, Erin and Nathan came to visit us February 14th-to Feb. 23rd. We had a wonderful time and were so happy to see them. We were busy the whole time and had so much fun. We went to the zoo, we picked lemons and made lemonade, we had a birthday party at our house for Keanu with at least 30 people there. We played in the park and Tanya and I (Grandma) went garage saleing. Jordan and Erin just couldn't resist that pool either although it was quite cold. It was wonderful and we were so glad they came.

Christmas 2008
Well I'm really late in getting this done, but we had a wonderful Christmas. Camille, Shane,
Sam, Zac and Joe came to spend the holiday with us. They arrived at about 5:30 Monday morning after driving all night.
We got together several times with everyone here in Phoenix, Summer fixed a meal for us on Tuesday evening and we all had the mexican dinner at grandma and grandpa's on Christmas Eve. Followed by Bingo!!!! Everyone had fun and won lots of prizes. After which we had a small program with Sam, Noel, Zac, Joe and Alyssa singing for us. They sang Jingle Bells, and Rudoph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Christmas morning the boys were anxious to get to the presents, Santa had been very good to them and the tree was loaded. But they were very patient. When Mom and Dad were ready so were they.
Around noon Kim and her family and Summer and her family came and more presents were opened and then we had the big turkey feast. We all had such a wonderful Christmas.
We really enjoyed haveing Camille, Shane and the boys here with us, of course, it wasn't long enough, it never is.
